So you’ve just invested a lot of money purchasing your new piano. It’s black, and you can see your reflection in the gleaming high gloss cabinet.. That is until the little ones come along.
No matter how hard you try, you will struggle to stop those little finger marks from appearing. So how do you clean the piano?
There are many products available, some specifically for high gloss pianos, but truthfully, a non- wax Mr Sheen or Pedge will do the trick just as well. It is always best to spray onto a white rag, and then buff the piano. If sprayed directly onto the piano it can leave smear marks.
For daily dusting, a micro fibre cloth is great, picking up the dust rather than moving it around.
Happy cleaning.. And piano playing of course.

This exquisite example of a 1983 Steinway model B grand piano is finished in Fiddleback mahogany gloss. Unlike the more common ebony finish, this piano is in immaculate condition and has been lovingly cared for since the day it was new.
Having lived in a private home, this model B Steinway has been well maintained and although played, it has not seen heavy use.
